I have been wanting to share this for a long time. But I didn't know how. Then I remembered I had
posted this many years ago on motherteresa.org We had a large garden back in the 80's and a dear friend had brought the Sisters (Missionaries Of Charity) out to our home to get vegetables from our garden. We picked all the vegetables we had and gave them to the Sisters to take back with them and give them to the poor of St. Louis. Blessed Teresa was in town for a mass in her honor. Blessed Teresa had invited about 6 of us, to come to her home in St. Louis before mass. We all sat around in a circle and answered questions some of the ladies had. We had several ladies that did most of the talking. So we didn't really get to talk to her. But yet still so blessed for having been there in her presence. I will never forget as we were leaving her home, Blessed Teresa stood by the door to say good bye to each of us and gave us each a hug. As I went to leave Blessed Teresa gave me hug, and held my hand as she looked into my yes. I have never before or have since been in the presence of such a Holy Person. This was so evident to me, can't explain exactly how I felt, except I felt I was in the presence of Jesus. As she looked into my eyes, it seemed I was lost in time, it was only a matter of minutes, but it seemed I had stood there with her for an hour. As she looked into my eyes, I felt she was looking into my heart, I felt so much love in her presence. I have never felt this before. I believe she in that short time, was able to read my heart, and I felt so loved, and accepted. At mass I remember I was watching her, and after communion Blessed Teresa was bowed in prayer the whole time others were receiving the Eucharist. I remember as if it was yesterday, the humility, that had that surrounded her. I have been so blessed to have that short time with Blessed Teresa and I have never forgotten that meeting. I will always feel so blessed to have been in the presence of Blessed Teresa, for it was being in the presence of Christ. I have had many answered prayers thru Blessed Teresa's intercession.
